Since my dad was a Vietnam Vet, this book helped so much. The book has many stories from wives in different situations and how their vet acted and behaved before and after the war. There is a great section written by the children of these vets also. |

For the wives or loved ones of a veteran this is a wonderful book. As a caregiver many times you give so much of yourself away that others expect you to keep doing it. It's time to take back your life. This doesn't mean you no longer do for others but it ensures there are healthy boundaries so you feel appreciated for not only what you do but what you won't do as well.

This book may seem out of place in this list but I assure you it was very helpful and could be for you, too. Sun Tzu's aim for this book is conflict resolution. At one time this book was required reading for corporate executives. Resolving conflict in any situation where both parties are satisfied is a goal worthy of note.

This is a book of hope and enforces gratitude for those who choose to follow the advice in this small book. The video is amazing also. I go back to this book often to remind me of how to think and enjoy the life I have been given.

The author's own child is facing a fatal illness. He tackles the questions that goes through everyone's mind at a time like this, "Why me?" |

An inspirational story from a College Professor on living and achieving your childhood dreams while he is living through and being treated for what the doctors call terminal cancer. The video was wonderful so I'm sure the book will be a real keeper and a reread. |

Highly recommended. PTSD isn't just suffered by military people. Anyone who has been through a trauma that has affected their well-being can be helped by this book. |

Many times if you have one mental illness another could also be lurking. My father has Bipolar Disorder and now my daughter and I have it. My father was diagnosed late in life but fortunately he did get help and that helped my family with their illness as well. This book was an integral part of my finding a way back to sanity while dragging my daughter along, too. |

My husband and my mother found this to be helpful in dealing with the rest of the family. The caregivers always seem to get the short end when it comes to help and support but this book lets you know you are worthy of being loved and cared for, also. |

This one also may seem out of place here but I found it a fascinating read. This book lets you know how our money system works and why. Being Veterans who fought for our freedoms we need to know what those freedoms are and what has been happening to them under our noses. |
